A staircase is one of the most functional part of a home but often assumed for only functional purposes. They are found in various designs;part of which are wooden,glass and balustrades. A little decorating could add a some spice to your usual blande stair area. i have a few improvent tips which might work for you:

Don’t feel as though you have to follow the angle of the stairs when hanging artwork or pictures on a stairway wall. That is one way of designing your wall, but think about grouping the pictures in a rectangular shaped arrangement or even oval, depending on the size of the wall.
Several pictures hung as an arrangement should have a common thread, like frame colour or shade or mat colour. You could also try artworks in place of pictures.
wall hangings:wall hangings such as candle holders and wall verbs also look nice around the staircase. A nice chandelier hanging from the ceiling above the staircase could improve lighting an enhance aesthetics.
wall paper:wallpapers can add all the spruce you need for a staircase area. Try using lighting to support this. you may hang pictures on it if you want though.
If you care about your things a lot and you want them organized and you don’t really have the space for them ,mounting multiple drawers under the stairs suddenly becomes a very interesting idea. Imagine all that space filled with drawers; small drawers and large drawers. I saw something like this in a tailoring workshop, where because of the tight space the owner had drawers under the access stairs where they kept both fabrics and threads.
A home office under the stairs is also a very brilliant idea. If you do not have enough space to create a private study area,that space beneath the staircase is perfect for you.
Wine is usually stored in a cool place, kept away from direct sun light; if these conditions are not fulfilled the chemical properties of the wine might change, altering the wine making it sour or bitter.
