Hello,
I recently came across your blog and I enjoyed it.
I just moved in a townhouse and am in need of some interior designing.
Can you please help me out? I am in need of a inspiration board just
to give me some ideas on how to get started.
Thank you so much!!

Re:Hi Nazia,
Sorry this is coming in late. I receive a lot of emails daily and still responsible for replying them. Thanks for reading through. Glad you found it interesting. Congrats on your new apartment though. The first step to the make over of your home should be deciding what style you want for your home;traditional,Contemporary or vintage. Contemporary design seems the trend these days and is easier to achieve with decorating/designing. First decide on your colour scheme and then these 5 basic factors:flooring, painting, window treatments, furniture and accessories.
The colour scheme determines how the entire make over will take shape. Be careful not to choose too many colours. Choose one major colour and complimenting colours as support accents. For instance;teal as the main colour to be used on the feature wall(tv wall), coffee brown on the opposite with and calabash on the two adjacent walls. That's just an example though. You can choose any colour as your main and the get back to me for ideas on complimenting colours.
For window treatments, fabric, texture and colour also matter when choosing. If you are doing a vintage concept, damasks, jacquards and rich linen come very handy. This is because they are heavy and richly patterned. This speaks sophistication unlike contemporary which is usually simple. Raw silks and tarfetta are just it. The come plain, patterned and embroidered. Also other window treatments like roman blinds and wooden venetians might be an alternative though, may not be as durable as curtains. They also come cheaper. With furniture, leather or fabric are about the only alternatives. If you have two living rooms, you may do both but if not,I'd say fabric. They are more comfortable to relax in and give the proper home feel. For accessories;throw pillows, floor vases with sticks or plants, canvas paintings, mirrors and charger plates are a must have. They can serve both aesthetic and functional purposes.
I hope this has been some information. Pls send mails as you progress. Thanks.
